This is an opportunity to discover the extensive collection of bathing suits, swimwear, beachwear and accessories housed at the Palais Galliera. This section highlights the changing relationship towards the body and the evolution of its perception in public, as well as the notion of modesty and decency. It also reveals changes in beauty and aesthetic canon, notably through our relationship with tanning.[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>La Mode en mouvement #2 benefits from exceptional loans from the Musée national du Sport (Nice), the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa, the Bibliothèque Forney (Paris), the Bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris, the Musée Carnavalet - Histoire de Paris, the CHANEL Heritage Collection, the Émile Hermès Collection and the Yohji Yamamoto House. These works put the Palais Galliera's exhibits into perspective and bear witness to the practice of physical and sporting activities through the ages, both leisurely and competitively.[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>[BR>This exhibition has been awarded the 'Cultural Olympiad ' certificate.
